Just a short update. @shilezi asked me if I knew Nokia was rolling out an update of the Nokia 808 PureView as of today. Well, I didn’t. And yes: they do – I’m installing it as we speak: it’s no small update with 420MB!
I have no idea about changelogs, no doubt there will be some posts available soon about the new version (113.010.1508). If you own the Nokia 808 PureView, hook it op to your PC, start Nokia PC Suite and check if it’s available in your region as well!
UPDATE From what I’ve read so far it seems like the last update for Nokia 808 PureView doesn’t offer any major changes, only some improvements. Sorry people, got carried away I guess…

Well, I understand it always feels good to have an update, but to tell you the truth, I haven’t noticed any difference yet…
Actually, I’ve checked by navifirm : only the russian variants are still present. When Marc posted this, ALL variants were available (I’ve downloaded euro1_2_fr for white 808 and the scandinavian). Now the FW looks pulled out, except for half a dozen product codes.
So don’t worry, you’re probably not missing something important.
Of course, not when you see the Gallery, .1508 and this update haven’t come yet.

Interesting – today I did not get the update for the 808, but there was an update that came through for Nokia Suite. I wonder if the two are related and that the Suite had to have changes due to some of the issues that were reported with the 808 update using a USB3 port…
So today in Nokia Suite, I hit the refresh button on updates and received a service-unavailable message..

This sounds like a Belle FP2 regional variant, because I remember seeing this 420mb when updating my phone in October 2012. Also, the version doesn’t say much because the only difference is 1506 to 1508.

420MB is the size of the complete FW… The update itself has maybe a size of around 10mb.

I got RnD Tolls folder which contain Crash Rep. and Energy Pro. apps.
I found this as well. It seems that it has been forgotten there as it happened in the past already just for internal testing…

For me (Ukraine): not available OTA (SW-update App), but available via Nokia Suite. However, I am currently debugging something from Betalabs regarding the Wi-Fi issues, so I won’t upgrade right away. Any reports about what is actually new in this update would be much appreciated.
The firmware update is causing my Windows8 computer to BSOD and the update fails

installed it! nothing new at all! we still dont have “mark multiple items” to send….and above all…. da Swype input text method STILL doesnt work,it cant split the screen when typing.
da first software of Pureview 808 when i bought it (112.20.309), i felt it has better image quality wiz a slight bigger resolution (8.7MPs) and Swype used to work great!!!
