This will take a bit of your time, but you might find it interesting – especially if you’re lucky enough to own the Nokia Lumia 2520 already (or know someone who does).
Nokia recently released the Nokia Video Director, as you could have read earlier at Nokia Conversations. Nokia Video Director is aimed for use with the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet, but there is an interesting ”companion app” that will run on the Nokia Lumia 1520 and 1020. My faithful tipper Nikhil Joshi pointed me to this “companion app”.
This post is only about this companion app, simply because I don’t have a Lumia 2520 tablet – and it’s not going to be for sale where I live, so that’s a setback.
Another setback appears to be this really is a companion app, there appears to be no other way to save the result but on the tablet and proceed from there. That’s a bit of a disappointing decision – why not make me save my video on my device itself to be able to transfer it to my harddisk or even SkyDrive?
I’ve made screenshots from the complete tutorial on the Lumia 1520, showing you what the Video Director app is capable of. That’s 46 shots in total and I tried to give each shot enough time for you to read it (it’s almost 8 minutes, so you’ll need some patience :-).
You should choose Full-HD and fullscreen to be able to. If you want to try it out for yourself you can download the Nokia Video Director companion app here.
