Yes, I do requests (sometimes). It was in this recent PrrrView post that I was asked to get real close to our cat, but with the Nokia Lumia 920, to see “the amount of fur, errrr detail, the Lumia can catch”. Well, this morning I did.
First let me describe the situation. He had been outside for about 6 minutes, since he detests the cold snow covering our garden. Here he’s lying on a cushion on the floor, enjoying the warmth of our central heating, making funny noises in his excitement seeing little birds get really close behind the glass door.
So I was on the floor too, with the Lumia 920 in “close up” mode. And yes, in the first shot he is a bit distracted by the camera. Actually I was suprised to get this close without disturbing him enough to walk away – and to still get a pretty sharp shot. Good to mention I don’t have the Portico update yet!
If you want to have a look at all the furry detail, I’ve added the originals to my “All animals are equal” set on Flickr :-)

Hey Marc, your cat looks remarkably like ours! ;-) I will see if / where I can upload some pictures of our cat done with the 808… Though I’m by no means a great photographer so nothing spectacular to see there. :-)
Just remarkably how much the cats are alike — what did you say, “All animals are equal”? ;-)
Met groeten,

thanks :)
Have you seen this : http://www.theverge.com/2013/1/23/3906566/nokia-eos-lumia-windows-phone-details
Dank u, Marc!
I took a close look at the third picture on Flickr in original size and I have to say: It is good, but not close to the 808.
The Lumia 920′s fur looks blurry and anything but sharp and crisp in original size.
Final request: After your 920′s update, maybe you could try your cat once more. And then it was enough stress for the furry prrrview
Hi Civichief, over here at the club, we all know nothing comes close to the 808 PureView. Still I think the results are pretty good (more than enough to print if you’d like to), and I will continue to experiment with the Lumia 920, although I´m still waiting for the famous Portico update…
The video quality is unmatchable 920 , quality is good but what matters the way it comes , nice and smooth and joy to watch. In India which is big market for nokia 920 cones with This update . I don’t have a problem with the image quality neither will u after the update
Good one Marc .. Well wanna ask u I have taken lots of pics and videos from 808′, my question is did u manage to do pis and video transfeer between nokia 808 and 920 via NFC, for some reason I have not managed to do this .
