More architecture – in Mumbai and Bangkok – captured with the Nokia 808 PureView

Life is full of coincidences. Like I’m being sent a lot of great architectural shots in like no-time. And strange enough these three shots all have to do with heigh and symmetry…

First a shot by Chani Mehrotra, from the Sea Link Bridge in Mumbai you’ll find on her Flickr photostream. Looks like we’re trapped in a giant harp, with only the lamp posts reminding us where we actually are.

Next a totally different kind of architecture – one I wouldn’t really suspect to find in Thailand for some reason, but it’s a stunning shot from the international Assumption University in Bangkok, where Juha Lappalainen majors in Finance and Banking (and minors in Insurance).

I resized this shot for obvious reasons, original is here.

And to conclude, one more of Chani’s shots of the Sea Link Bridge in Mumbai… After posting this I learned the shots on the bridge were made from a moving car… All the more respect :-)

one out of the topic question, recently i upgraded from my nokia c7 to 808 cause i really wanted the piece of technology behind it. I really think its a high end smartphone but why the hell its got a poor resolution display…just nhd… Even my 2 and a half year old c7 had same quality besides 808′s cbd. Whats the reason, is it that symbian is restricted or can only run on nhd res display?
I searched for the answer on google and there are all all sorts of questions like 808was not promoted and blah blah, but no one raised a question to nokia but this. there are cheap android phones which have better resolution display and are quater the price of 808..Other than that its a complete smatphone no doubt.

yeah it’s limited by OS, can you tell us how you notice that? I have to look at both phones(nHD vs HD) at the same time to notice any difference, and its neglibible for me.

yes, the only way to notice that is by comparing… My brother’s got galaxy s3 and when i played the same 1080p video on both the devices, the results were very dicouraging and 808 looked very ordinary. You could clearly see what its missing even though 808 is more brighter. Next thing that came in my mind was how will pictures taken from my phone will look in s3, will it show more details… I quicky sent few pureview and a full resolution pics to s3 via bluetooth. And i must say u gotta see it to believe it, pureview 5 mp pics looked even more stunning. I then sent videos and even they looked lot better.
